One Million Men and Me Trailer

Hey Everyone,

I've been so inspired by the wonderful children's book trailers on the Web that I decided to try my own. I used Microsoft MovieMaker and royalty-free music I found online. Please check it out and let me know what you think. I'd love to get some feedback before making it live.

Here's the link. Click the arrow to view:

Thanks so much for your support.

This is really cool Kelly. Is there any way you can provide the embed code so that others can post the video as well?

That is really neat. I enjoyed it. Sparks up interest in your book.

Aren't trailers fun! I used iMovie for mine, and was surprised at how intuitive the process was. I like your text and choice of images, but wonder if the music track could be advanced so that it's not so sparse at the beginning--with just the drumming and flipping of the visuals at the beginning, it feels a bit flat--I think it'd be great if the excitement started building sooner, and as more instruments join the track, the whole experience seems livelier and fuller. Just my two cents!

I LOVE the trailer, Kelly. I actually like the music building up the way it is. But it could work either way. Great job!

Elliott Lightfoot Lincoln University of PA. Kelly this was really powerful and so many need to see and here the message. I just came back from St.Thomas and the young men and women we wet are hungry to get off of the Islands and improve themselves. Anything that is positive for the kids, I'm in favor of. Keep up the good work and God Bless

WOW! Kelly, that was really AWESOME! I loved it! Are you going to do trailers for your two forthcoming picture books? That was good, girl!

And speaking of trailers, a new online writer friend of mine, Tess Hilmo (http://tesshilmo.blogspot.com) just made a trailer, too. I think she did it with little or no money, too. And even though she's unpublished (she just acquired an agent), the trailer was still great! With pictures & text she created herself, you were stil able to get a good sense of what her book was about. She even encouraged me to try making one!

If anyone wants instructions about how to make a trailer, Tess left them in the "comment" section of the "Friday Links" post on my blog (http://crystalroget.blogspot.com).

Great job, again, Kelly!
